Note on sketchbooks and journals:
Generally, I try and keep testers for all journals/sketchbooks at my booth with different medium tests and swatches inside, so feel free to ask about the papers!
These friendly and brightly colored journals are hand-bound with Zaner-Bloser style writing paper. You may also know this as the "cursive practice paper" used in most elementary schools.
I thought it would be fun to use a journal that reminds me of a simpler time, and it turns out to be a pretty fun ruling style for journaling! These also contain plenty of pages (78) to be used as a weekly journal, or as a monthly journal with 2-page spreads.
Because it's a newsprint style paper, it's best suited to writing with pencil or ballpoint/gel pens.
Hand-bound soft-cover sketchbooks made of premium 102gsm Mohawk Superfine offwhite paper. The covers are a very nice textured bamboo cardstock, and they have string bookmarks. Available with either plain or water-marbled endpapers.
These take wetter mediums like fountain pens or highlighters well, but things like sharpies will still bleed. Micron pens and water-based markers have proven fine in my testing, even after multiple coats! Caveat emptor.
Hand-cut, one of a kind rubber stamps in various shapes, with wooden pressing surfaces.
Due to their nature, it's hard to list their specific properties, but generally they are objects, embellishments, or little guys!
Hand-bound from surplus printing paper and (clean) cardboard waste, one of a kind blank-page notebooks with decorated endpapers and a crafty feel.
It's hard to list specific paper properties given the surplus nature, but expect it to perform as well as affordable printer paper. Pencil and ballpoint/gel pens should always perform well, but other mediums could feather or bleed!
